• Candidates must have passed the CA Foundation examination conducted by ICAI and must have completed the minimum period of study before the exam.
• Graduates or postgraduates in any discipline can register directly for the exam by following the Direct Entry Route:
  • Commerce graduates/postgraduates with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks
  • Graduates/postgraduates in other disciplines with at least 60% aggregate marks
• Candidates who have passed the Intermediate level examination of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) are also eligible for registration.
• Registration for the CA Intermediate course must be completed at least 9 months before the exam month. For January 2026, the registration deadline is March 31, 2025.
• CA Intermediate registration is valid for 5 years and can be extended by paying the prescribed fee.
• Candidates must also complete the required articleship training and other formalities according to ICAI rules before appearing for the exam.
