Subjective papers are to be answered descriptively. So, you need to have thorough practice of all the concepts of Accountancy and Business Laws. I always say it in my Business Laws class that why do you have to worry about the descriptive papers you have been attempting descriptive paper right from when you were a child, like from Class 1 and have been doing it till Class 12. All you have to do is have a thorough understanding of all the concepts, regular practice, being regular in the class, self-study etc. shall help you fetch good marks in subjective papers as well. In the blog ahead, I am mentioning some important tips on how to deal with the subjective papers i.e. Accountancy and Business Laws.
For Accountancy first understand the concepts of each chapter and then practice each and every question of Accountancy from the notes. You need to practice each problem by yourself so that you understand the tricky points of the questions. I know all the problems are solved in the class by Virag Sir and concepts are also thoroughly taught but what you need to understand is unless and until you do not practice at home you will not sail through. Virag Sir’s method of teaching for Accountancy is he makes the students understand the concepts of Accounts thoroughly, then he shall solve questions related to the same concepts from his notes, he shall also cover all the past exam questions as well. After this you must practice all the questions in your home practice register. Virag Sir’s notes cover solved as well as unsolved questions so you get grip of all the concepts thoroughly.
You must make a home practice register as well, so that each concept and each question is revised the same day.
Concentrate on important topics such as basics of Accountancy, Company Accounts, Partnership Accounts, Reconciliation Statements, Rectification of Errors etc.
Then for Business Laws, firstly read the entire notes unit wise, then practice writing the answers of questions yourself. No doubt we discuss each and every question in the class, take up concepts from the notes, revise the topics, case laws and everything, provide you with chart book, with latest examination questions, prepare case laws book, definition book and then appear for the exam!
For your self study portion, you need to read the entire notes again, then revise the units from Chart book and revise definitions and case laws from the respective books. This shall be really useful. Generally, the questions asked in Business Laws are of two types direct questions and case study-based questions. Direct questions need to be answered point wise. Underline the important points always. Answer the case study-based questions in four-point program manner viz, Facts, Provision, Analysis and Conclusion. You shall sail through this paper.
And other subjects are objective wherein you get 4 options for each question and you have to circle the correct option. You get 1 mark for the right answer and -0.25 for the incorrect answer.
I hope this entire blog was informative for you and you fetch good marks in your CA Foundation Exam. Take care. Stay happy and stay blessed.
