The CA syllabus consists of CA foundation level, CA intermediate level and CA final level. CA Foundation is the entrance exam for Chartered Accountancy Course. This exam is to be given soon after the XII exam. So, if a student is appearing for the XII exam in Feb 2023 then they can appear for the May/June 2023 exam. One more unique point about the CA subjects and syllabus is that a student of any stream (whether from Commerce, Arts, or Science) can appear for the CA foundation exam. Also, irrespective of if you are from XII CBSE or State Board whether to take up Math as your optional subject or not you can appear for the CA Foundation exam.

The Complete CA Foundation Syllabus

1. Principles and Practice of Accountancy:

This is paper 1 which is a subjective paper with a maximum of 100 marks. You need to score 40% minimum to clear the paper. The student is expected to have a basic knowledge of Accountancy. The course contains the maximum number of chapters from XI & XII syllabus with some additional chapters. So, if a student is well versed with XI & XII syllabus then it is going to help them score well in Accountancy for CA Foundation.In our CA Foundation classes, Accountancy is taught by Prof. Virag Mitkary Sir (teaching experience 20 years) and he is one of the most popular faculties in Central India for Accountancy. 2. Business Laws, Business Correspondence and Reporting (BCR):

Business Laws and BCR are papers 2A and 2B respectively. Business Laws is 60 marks and BCR is 40 marks. Both these papers are subjective. You need to score 40% minimum to clear paper 2. Business Law is entirely a new subject for students of CA Foundation, but it is really interesting. A student is familiar with BCR as the course content is a bit similar to XI & XII English. The entire paper 2 is theoretical but with unique teaching techniques, charts, mnemonics, and revision in the class of Prof. Vrinda Mitkary (teaching experience 10 years) (Faculty for Business Laws) and
Prof. Deepika Telang (teaching experience 15 years) (Faculty for BCR) you shall be able to gain a good grip on the concepts and get amazing marks in the exam.

3. Business Mathematics (40 marks), Logical Reasoning (20 marks), and Statistics (40 marks):

The entire paper 3 is objective and the student needs to score a minimum of 40% to clear the paper. The objective paper shall have 100 questions of 1 mark each and you get 1 mark for the right answer and a negative 0.25 for a wrong answer. So be careful in answering as you have a negative marking scheme here. Mathematics is taught by CA. P.H. Mitkary Sir has teaching experience of whooping 45 years and is popularly known as the master of masters. He is one of the most popular faculties in Central India. Statistics and LR is taught by Prof. Darshan Mitkary Sir (teaching experience 10 years). He is very popular amongst students. He gives thorough conceptual clarity about the subject and keeps the class alive with amazing examples.

4. Business Economics (60 marks) and Business and Commercial Knowledge (40 marks):

The entire paper 4 is objective and the student needs to score a minimum of 40% to clear the paper. The objective paper shall have 100 questions of 1 mark each and you get 1 mark for the right answer and a negative 0.25 for a wrong answer. So be careful in answering as you have a negative marking scheme here. This paper is taught by CA. Ashish Ghate Sir (teaching experience 10 years) and CA. Gauri Mitkary Ma’am (teaching experience 4 years). Both of them are amazing faculties who engage the class with live examples and gripping conceptual clarity. Each paper is of 100 marks, so the entire CA Foundation course is of 400 marks. The paper-wise passing percentage is 40% and the overall passing percentage is 50%. So, a student has to score individually 40 marks on each paper and 200 marks in total to clear the CA Foundation exam. ICAI conducts the CA Foundation exam twice a year in May/June or November/December.
