CA Aspirants Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

CA FAQ

Hello folks I am here yet again with all the CA FAQ that we get on various social media platforms of CAPS Academy and also while interacting with the students. So I thought of compiling them at a single space for you all.

CA Foundation FAQ’s

  1. Can a student from the Science stream get acquaint with the Accountancy subject of CA Foundation?
Ans: Well let you tell you the fact first, a student who has cleared the class XII examination from any stream can apply for CA Foundation exams. So even ICAI wants every student who is basically inclined towards the Chartered Accountancy course to definitely give it a try. Also, the faculties at Mitkary Sir’s CAPS Academy teach the students from scratch. We have Virag Mitkary Sir for CA Foundation Accountancy as the faculty. Believe me guys he is one of the best teachers one can ask for. His perfect blend of experience along with friendly connection with the student really create wonders for students.
  2. When to attempt CA Foundation immediately after class XII board exams or wait for another 6 months i.e. give it in November after board exams.
Ans: Well friends a simple answer for this would be if you are already from the Commerce stream and have studied from Mitkary Sir’s CAPS Academy under the most popular batch i.e. XI+XII+CA Foundation then you shall definitely give the CA Foundation after your board exams. CAPS Academy has made sure that its students are prepared well.  In case you have missed the bus by not registering for the package batch and you still in Class XI then do not worry it is never too late just grab your phone and enquire at our helpline 7020752751 for the next best possible option for you all.
  3. What is the paper pattern for CA Foundation exams?
Ans: The straight answer for this would be it is a mix of subjective and objective paper. Paper 1: Accountancy and Paper 2 Law are subjective (you will be asked questions and you will have to write descriptive answers for the same). Paper 3: Mathematics, Statistics and Logical Reasoning and Paper 4: Economics and BCK shall be objective with negative marking (i.e. +1 for the correct and -0.25 for the wrong answer.) The passing percentage is 50% in aggregate and 40% individually.
  4. Whether to go in for pen drive mode or live classes for CA Foundation?
Ans:  I can understand this dilemma as the market is flooded with options for pen drive classes, the student gets so much confused. First of all the live classes give a better connection between the teacher and the student and students can understand things better. Doubt solving is always very easy as you are in touch with the faculty live. You can get o study with your peers and a healthy competitive environment is always maintained in this scenario.Pen drive classes, on the other hand, loose all the above-mentioned points and hence in almost 70% cases student is unable to clear their concepts. Even if the student passes the exams in this case he might face problems at the higher level. I know technology is the future and even at CAPS Academy we have pen drives for all the levels of CA, XI & XII CBSE, and State Board but just with the intention of promoting my product I cannot be untrue to my students. So friends make a wise decision and do not fall prey of any marketing gimmicks.

CA Intermediate FAQ’s

  1. Whether to give both the groups in one attempt?
Ans: For CA Intermediate you have 8 subjects and the classes for all the 8 subjects can be completed comfortably within a span of 6 months and you get at least 3 months for self-study. You can definitely sail through both groups with a good amount of study. So do not think just give it a try you shall definitely succeed.
  2. Whether to join articleship after clearing one group of CA Intermediate or both groups?
Ans: As per ICAI you can commence articleship soon after you complete one group or both the groups. Now the dilemma appears when you clear only one group. The next provision is you shall give your CA Final once you enter the last 6 months of the articleship. Technically you shall delay your CA Final attempt if you do not start with your articleship. Basically, think it level wise so clear it step by step. Think of CA Intermediate first than CA Final. So I hope you got your answer.
